🚀 Kicking off my capstone project with Fullstack Academy: PrepMyWeek
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been building a fullstack application called PrepMyWeek — not just to complete my software development bootcamp, but as a real-world tool I’d genuinely want to use.
🍽️ What it does:
PrepMyWeek is a meal prep planner that helps users:
*Select a grocery store
*Choose how many meals and people they’re cooking for
*Get recipe suggestions based on store-specific ingredients
*Generate a grocery list with serving-based breakdowns
*Save and reuse their weekly meal plans
👨💻 Tech stack:
*Frontend: Next.js, Tailwind CSS, ShadCN/UI
*Backend: Node.js, Express, Prisma, PostgreSQL
*Database hosting: Neon.tech
I’m using this project to showcase backend-heavy skills, with a clean and modern frontend built for actual usability.
Here’s a look at the current welcome page (more UI updates coming soon!):
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing progress updates, challenges, and wins as I move toward MVP and beyond.
Thanks for following along — and if you’re building something too, I’d love to connect.
